SESSIONS PASS WINNER at Speedway 95

At the green Clark powered around Benjamin for the lead and withstood Benjamin’s challenge on several restarts. Mechalides got the better of Benjamin on restart number three to move up to second and at lap fifty the top ten runners were Clark, Mechalides, Benjamin, Sessions, Smith, Ben Rowe, Mulkern, Chuck LaChance, Scott Alexander and Tracy Gordon. Mechalides won the race into turn one on a lap 64 restart to take the lead with Clark hanging tough in second and Sessions up to third. Mechalides kept his Mid-City Paving Chevy in front for a number of laps but Clark won the restart war just before lap one hundred and took command once again. At  lap one hundred Clark was on top with Sessions under Mechalides for second and Mechalides back to third. Gary Smith controlled the fourth spot with Mulkern, Gordon, Gelinas, Ben Rowe, and Rick Martin the lead lap cars. Mechalides and Mulkern got together on the back stretch to bring out the deciding caution. Both drivers went to the rear of the lineup and Mechaildes good run ended shortly thereafter with engine woes. Sessions took advantage of the high groove on the lap 110 restart to claim the point and motor away to a four car length victory. The win was Sessions second consecutive PASS victory after capturing the $100,000 prize in October 2003’s non-points Big Dawg Challenge.

In supporting action  Bath Maine’s Steve Reno captured the PASS Mod feature win over Wayne Allard and Scott Chubbuck. Young Kyle Coolidge wired the New England Allison Legacy Series feature with Ron Bryant second and  Dave Sullivan third. Tracy Gordon and Chuck LaChance were the PASS heat winners and Walt Hammond topped the PASS consolation round. Aaron Fellows is the Northern Race Tires Rookie of the Race  with a  twelfth place finish.
