DEFEATS SOLID FIELD AT AUTODROME CHAUDIERE
Once again a PASS Super Late Model race had to be postponed due to weather this past Saturday at Autodrome Chaudiere in Vallee Junction, Quebec, but the PASS North Tour danced around Sunday between sprinkles and put on a tremendous show with a solid crowd, and a full field of PASS Super Late Models for the Frameco 150.

It was an all Canadian front row as Patrick Laperle and Donald Theetge brought the field to green. The caution waved early, as on lap four, Ben Rowe’s bad luck continued as he cut down a tire putting him several laps off the pace. After a couple of minor spins, the field settled in as the Laperle / Theetge battle continued until lap 50 when Johnny Clark, Mike Rowe and DJ Shaw drove around the outside of the leaders.

The field stayed green until lap 80 when Theetge and Laperle got together in turn two. Clark continued to lead the event until lap 126 as lapped traffic became a major part of the finish. This is when a slowing car of Jaques Poulin was collected by Clark sending him spinning in front of the field. Glen Luce’s fine day ended in the skirmish as he had been hanging around the top five all afternoon.

DJ Shaw inherited the lead and survived a couple of late race restarts to capture his second PASS Super Late Model win in a row, and third on the season. Johnny Clark, Mike Rowe, Joey Doiron and Kevin Roberge completed the top five. Rounding out the top ten were Martin Latulippe, Patrick Laperle, Michael Lavoie, Eric St. Gelais and Donald Theetge. Qualifying checkers flew for Laperle, Theetge, and Travis Benjamin.

The next stop for the PASS North Series will be this coming Saturday, May 24th at White Mountain Motorsports Park for the Littleton Chevrolet / Buick 150. Post time is 5pm. WMMP is located on Route 3 in North Woodstock, New Hampshire.

PASS NORTH TEAMS HEAD
NORTH OF THE BORDER

AUTODROME CHAUDIERE UP NEXT
FOR SUPER LATE MODELS
The Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model teams will head north of the border for the first time in 2014 as they will visit Autodrome Chaudiere on Saturday, May 17th at 5:45pm for the FRAMECO 150. The PASS Super Late Models will also be at Autodrome Chaudiere on August 5th and September 6th.

Last year Patrick Laperle grabbed the victory in the first event, as he held off Joey Doiron, and a host of other Canadian drivers, Martin Latulippe, Karl Allard and Alex Gingras to secure the win. DJ Saw battled Ben Rowe to the finish to win the second Chaudiere race, as the American teams fared a little better in the second round as Canadian Jean Francoise Dery came home third ahead of Johnny Clark and Cassius Clark. Legendary Sprint Cup driver, Matt Kenseth, saw his son Ross Kenseth, grab the third and final event at Chaudiere as he defeated Jay Fogleman, Karl Allard, Johnny Clark and DJ Shaw.

2014 looks to be even more exciting as the battle between Canadian Super Late Model teams and American PASS Super Late Model teams will reach epic proportions. On May 17th, the first green flag for PASS qualifying will wave at 5:45pm.
