NAPLES, ME (January

(PASS) officials announced
today the release of the
2016 schedule for the PASS
North Super Late Models. The
Northeast's top short
trackers will once again
compete at some of the best
speedways in New England,
highlighted by the 43rd
Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford
Plains Speedway. The season
will begin with the return
of PASS to Thompson Speedway
Motorsports Park in
Connecticut as part of the
Icebreaker weekend April
9-10. PASS will continue to
build on its relationship
with the American-Canadian
Tour (ACT) by hosting four
doubleheader events together
in 2016. PASS will also
return to White Mountain
Motorsports Park in North
Woodstock, NH for the first
time since 2013. The PASS
North Super Late Models will
compete on 8 different
speedways in 4 states in
2016.
"We're very
happy with the strong group
of tracks that we have
assembled for our racers to
compete on in 2016," said
PASS President Tom Mayberry.
"There was a lot of
excitement surrounding our
partnership with ACT in 2015
and we're excited to build
on that next year. The move
of the Oxford 250 to August
solidified its place as one
of short track racing's
biggest events and we're
glad to continue that in
2016. We're also excited to
once again be returning to
Thompson and White Mountain
next year."
The 43rd
Annual Oxford 250 continues
on its late August weekend
in 2016 with racers from all
across North America
expected to compete for
$25,000 to win, plus
guaranteed lap leader money
on August 26-28. On Saturday
night, August 27, the ACT
Late Models will join the
Valenti Modifieds for a big
night of action leading up
to the 250. Additionally,
the ACT Late Model winner
will receive a guaranteed
starting spot in the next
day's 43rd Annual Oxford 250
as long as they attempt to
qualify.
A tune-up
to the Oxford 250 will take
place on Saturday, July 31.
In addition, Oxford Plains
Speedway will once again
host the PASS North Super
Late Models, along with the
ACT Late Models on Sunday,
April 17 and will crown the
PASS North champion with the
season finale on Saturday,
October 15.
PASS
will also stage a special
Independence Day weekend
show at Oxford Plains
Speedway on Sunday, July 3.
This event will be a
non-points event, featuring
PASS "non-winners" and an
Enduro race.
Maine's
Beech Ridge Motor Speedway,
with continued support from
Southern Maine
Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, will
host the PASS North Super
Late Models three times in
2016 on Saturday, April 30,
Saturday, July 9, and the
inaugural New England 500 on
September 17-18. On
Saturday, September 17, the
PASS Super Late Models and
ACT Late Models will
qualify, with feature racing
for the Valenti Modifieds
and support divisions. On
Sunday, September 18, the
New England 500 will consist
of the PASS 300 for the PASS
Super Late Models and the
Fall Foliage 200 for the ACT
Late Models.
Speedway 95 in Hermon, ME
returns to the PASS North
schedule for a third
consecutive year with a 150
lap event slated for Sunday,
May 15.
PASS will
make its first of six trips
in 2016 to the state of New
Hampshire on Saturday, May 7
at Star Speedway. PASS
returns to White Mountain
Motorsports Park twice in
2016 after an absence of
three years with events
there on Saturday, June 11
and Saturday, July 23, when
they will be paired with the
ACT Late Models. The series
will also be in the Granite
State on Friday, June 24 for
an event at Lee USA Speedway
and again on Friday, August
12. PASS will be back at
Star Speedway on Saturday,
October 1 for the
penultimate event of the
2016 season.
The
Super Late Models of PASS
will compete for only the
second time ever at Thunder
Road International Speedbowl
in Vermont on Sunday, May
29. The PASS North Super
Late Models will race for
150 laps and the Thunder
Road Late Models will join
them for the Mekkelsen
Memorial Day Classic 100.
The Pro All Stars Series
is recognized as North
America's premier
sanctioning body for asphalt
Super Late Models and boasts
such marquee events as the
legendary Oxford 250 at
Oxford Plains Speedway and
PASS South's Easter Bunny
150 at the historic Hickory
Motor Speedway. For

NAPLES, ME (December 23) -
Pro All Stars Series (PASS)
officials have released the six
dates and locations that will make
up the 2016 PASS National
Championship Series. The schedule is
comprised of six premier Super Late
Model events in both PASS North and
PASS South that will determine an
overall PASS National Champion. The
PASS National Series will be
highlighted once again by the
prestigious 43rd Annual Oxford 250
at Oxford Plains Speedway in August.
And, the PASS National Championship
Series will return to Connecticut's
Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park
for the first time since 2010. While
awards are currently still being
finalized, the champion will once
again receive a unique championship
ring, while team members will
receive championship belt buckles,
from longtime PASS supporter,
Northern Race Tire.
"Thanks
to a lot of time and effort by a
group of really dedicated people, we
are very pleased to announce our
2016 PASS National Series,'" said
PASS President Tom Mayberry. "These
events exemplify what's great about
short track racing and we feel each
of them will attract the best Super
Late Model drivers from across the
continent. All of these events are
unique and will prove to be a
challenge for our competitors. With
events from Maine to South Carolina,
a broad base of fans will get to see
racers from all over North America
come together to crown Super Late
Model racing's only true National
Champion."
The PASS National
Championship Series gets underway in
just over a month with the Winter
Meltdown at Greenville-Pickens
Speedway in South Carolina on
February 6. In addition to a
talented group of PASS regulars,
former PASS National Champions Ben
Rowe, Joey Doiron and Jay Fogleman,
who returns in 2016 to race for the
national title, hope to contain a
strong contingent of drivers from
the United States and Canada as they
tackle the tough, flat half-mile
speedway for 150 green flag laps.
Fittingly on Super Bowl weekend,
fans will get to see drivers from
across the spectrum of short track
racing as big events for the South
East Limited Late Models, Southeast
Supertrucks, and Mini Stocks will
also be taking place as part of the
Winter Meltdown.
From
Greenville-Pickens Speedway in
February, it is back to the most
traditional stop on the PASS
National Championship Series,
Hickory Motor Speedway in North
Carolina on March 26. The 11th
Annual Easter Bunny 150 will
continue in 2016 as one of short
track racing's biggest events of the
Spring. Since veteran Mike Rowe won
the first Easter Bunny 150 back in
2006, Hickory Motor Speedway's
hallowed victory lane has been
cherished by every Super Late Model
driver that has followed in his tire
tracks. This year's Easter Bunny 150
at Hickory will also be the
inaugural event of the most
anticipated new series in the
country, the Southern Modified
Racing Series Presented By PASS.
Race three of the 2016 PASS
National Championship Series will be
the first of the year in New England
and will be contested at one of the
fastest tracks in the country. The
PASS Super Late Models will compete
for 75 laps at Thompson Speedway
Motorsports Park in Connecticut as
part of the Icebreaker weekend April
9-10, along with the NASCAR Whelen
Modfieds. PASS returns to Thompson
Speedway for the first time since
2012 in an event that will also
double as the PASS North Super Late
Model season opener.
The next
race on the 2016 PASS National
Championship Series will be at
perhaps the most legendary of all
short track races. The 43rd Annual
Oxford 250 at Maine's Oxford Plains
Speedway on August 28 will continue
a tradition that started in 1974 and
has seen such winners as Butch
Lindley, Geoff Bodine, Junior
Hanley, Ricky Craven, Mike and Ben
Rowe, Kevin Harvick, and Kyle Busch.
And, with one of the richest purses
in all of Super Late Model racing,
the Oxford 250 should once again
attract North America's best
drivers, all competing for the
$25,000 winner's share. This year,
Turner, ME's Glen Luce bested over
70 other drivers to claim over
$30,000 for his first win in the
prestigious race.
Next up,
the PASS National Championship
Series will hold its final race of
the year in New England at another
traditional stop, the Beech Ridge
Motor Speedway in Scarborough, ME.
The PASS 400 Weekend at Beech Ridge
on September 16-18 is always a
favorite for both fans and
competitors and this year's contest
will be no different.
The
PASS National Championship Series
will conclude on November 5 at
Concord Speedway with the 14th
Annual North-South Shootout. PASS
made a successful return to Concord
in 2015 with events in May and
November. The 2016 North-South
Shootout will again be a test of man
and machine around the treacherous
half-mile triangular speedway. It
will be a big weekend of racing that
will see the inaugural Southern
Modified Racing Series Presented By
PASS champion crowned the night
before and the PASS South Super Late
Model champion also crowned on
Saturday, November 5.
The Pro
All Stars Series is recognized as
North America's premier sanctioning
body for asphalt Super Late Models
and boasts such marquee events as
PASS South's Easter Bunny 150 at the
historic Hickory Motor Speedway and
the legendary Oxford 250 at Oxford
Plains Speedway.

SCHEDULE |
|
Dates
Finalized For 2016 PASS
South Super Late Model
Schedule |
CHARLOTTE, NC
(November 10) - Pro All
Stars Series (PASS)
officials announced today
the final three dates on the
2016 PASS South Super Late
Model schedule. The South's
longest running Super Late
Model series will return to
Anderson Motor Speedway in
South Carolina, while
Hickory Motor Speedway will
receive a third PASS South
Super Late Model event in
the fall of 2016. East
Carolina Motor Speedway in
Robersonville, NC joins the
PASS South schedule for the
first time in 2016 and will
fill out the 11th
anniversary season's slate
of races. The 2016 season
will consist of 15 races at
8 speedways in three states.
Anderson Motor Speedway
in upstate South Carolina
will host the PASS South
Super Late Models on Friday
night, June 17 in an action
filled night which will also
see the NASCAR Late Model
Stocks, BM Modifieds,
Legends, and Front Wheel
Drive divisions in action.
It will be a busy
doubleheader weekend for the
PASS South racers, who will
also compete the following
night at Hickory Motor
Speedway.
Speaking of
Hickory Motor Speedway, the
legendary track which has
operated since 1951, will
host the PASS South Super
Late Models three times in
2016. PASS returns to its
longest running speedway on
Saturday night, September
24, joining the previously
announced 11th Annual Easter
Bunny 150 on Saturday, March
26 and the event scheduled
for Saturday night, June 18.
East Carolina Motor
Speedway in Robersonville,
NC has become one of the
premier facilities in
eastern North Carolina and
will complete the 2016 PASS
South Super Late Model with
an event there on Saturday
night, July 30. While the
tricky 3/8 mile, D-shaped
speedway will be hosting
PASS for the first time in
2016, it will not be the
first time Super Late Models
have raced there. Throughout
the 1980's and 1990's, East
Carolina was well known for
featuring what was then
known as the Late Model
Sportsman division. The PASS
South Super Late Models
continue to be very popular
with area fans and thanks to
the Perry family, PASS will
return to eastern North
Carolina for their only
visit in 2016.
The
2016 PASS South Super Late
Model season will begin on
the weekend of February 5-6
at Greenville-Pickens
Speedway with the return of
the Winter Meltdown, which
will also feature the
Limited Late Models and
Trucks divisions in action.
The final race of 2016 will
be the 14th Annual
North-South Shootout at
Concord Speedway on November
4-5, featuring PASS along
with the Tour-type Modifieds
and additional support
divisions.
With the
completion of next year's
PASS South Super Late Model
schedule, look for the
entire 2016 PASS North Super
Late Model schedule to be
released in the coming days.
PASS also recently
announced that the biggest
short track race on asphalt,
the 43rd Annual Oxford 250
at Oxford Plains Speedway in
Maine will take the green on
Sunday, August 28, 2016,
paying $25,000 to the winner
plus lap leader bonus money.
