Mac to Back
Stafford Springs, CT - For the second week in a row a man named Macdonald has been crowned the winner on the Pro All Stars Series. The Outlaw Eddie MacDonald continued his impressive start to the 2022 PASS Campaign. Going wire to wire in the Spring Sizzler 75 lap main event. Eddie Mac with the win has opened up a sizeable point lead over DJ Shaw, Brandon Barker, Garrett Hall and Ryan Kuhn who all had less than stellar days at Stafford Speedway Saturday afternoon.

While this is Eddie's first win of the season, he is the only driver to finish in the top five in all North events this season. Eddie Mac has gotten the nickname the Outlaw but a portion of that is because he has been known to pick and choose which races he attends, but, with the start to the season he has had, should the Outlaw run the remaning schedule he may be on pace to pick up his first PASS North Championships.

Eddie MacDonald # 17MA had to keep the lead during two restarts in the race. The first coming on lap 17 when five-time PASS North Champion DJ Shaw #60 and Michael Scorzelli #18 tangled in turn one. This would end not only Shaw and Scorzelli's day but also Corey Bubar #12X's as well. Garrett Hall #94 was also involved in the accident and would eventually retire from the race five laps later.

After the restart Eddie took command of the race until the halfway point. Joey Pole #4NH recovering from a dismal performance at NHMS was looking for redemption and the lead. MacDonald was able to retain the lead after the challenge.

With just 3 laps remaining it looked like Eddie was going to take care of business with ease until a tire failure on the #72 car of Ryan Kuhn caused his car to take a huge impact, lose a podium finish, and need of a lot of Everett Auto Parts in order to get his ride back together. The caution would set up a three lap shoot out for the finish.

Center Conway, NH's Gabe Brown #50 had positioned himself with an opportunity to win by restarting second. Gabe had had a long week of rebuilding his racecar after a wreck in his qualifying heat at NHMS a week ago. In the end Gabe would finish third, following Eddie Mac and Joey Pole across the line. Jake Matheson #52 finished fourth and 10-time PASS Champion Ben Rowe #4rounded out the top 5.

See the PASS stars and their cars back in action May 7th at their first trip of the season to the Plains of Oxford Maine. Oxford Plains Speedway is home to the Oxford 250, and while the Crown Jewel event is four months away, it is never to early to start preparing.

Oxford regulars Max Cookson, Calvin Rose and Justin Larson will look to prove they are capable of winning not only weekly races but also on the tour. Joining the Super Latemodels will also be the PASS Modifieds kicking of their season as Garrett Lamb, Brandon Varney and Shawn Knight will be starting their bid on the 2022 PASS MODS Championship.
