Jay Fogleman wins PASS
North vs. South Shootout at Caraway
Charlotte, NC 11/11/12- Veteran Jay Fogleman came in to this weekend’s PASS South North vs. South Shootout 150 at the Caraway Speedway as a man on a mission. That mission was pretty plain and simple; win the race and let the championship points fall where they may. Well consider it mission accomplished for the Durham, North Carolina driver as he picked up his second win of 2012, and more importantly gave his Bull City Racecars race team a shot at the series championship heading into the final race of the season at the Concord Speedway coming up on November 24th.

Ross Kenseth Prevails as Winner
in Rain Shortened PASS South
All American 400 in Nashville
Charlotte, NC 10/8/12- There were two winners Saturday night at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tennessee; Mother Nature and Ross Kenseth, son of NASCAR champion Matt Kenseth. The nineteen year old Clemson University college student picked up his biggest win of his career when series officials were forced to call the 28th All American 400 at lap 220 of 400 due to steady rain that overtook the speedway just past the event’s halfway point. The win was Kenseth’s second of the season in PASS South Series competition dating back to April 21st at the Orange County Speedway in Rougemont, North Carolina.

Kenseth took advantage of a top ten qualifying effort, taking the green flag from the seventh position on the initial start of the 400 lap event. Several quick movers and losers were fast to scatter throughout the field including that of Eddie Hoffman, who after leading the first thirteen laps began to fade in a hurry, handing the lead to Iowa native Nate Caruth, driving a Brad Keselowski Racing owned machine. While Hoffman was going back it was PASS North Series regular Johnny Clark making his way to the front from a thirty-fourth starting position.

Preston Peltier Gets Back to Victory Lane
Once Again at Hickory Motor Speedway
Preston Peltier got reacquainted with a familiar place Saturday night at the Hickory Motor Speedway as he piloted his #26 Sig’s Tire Centers machine to victory lane winning his second PASS South Series event of 2012. Peltier outdueled Landon Cling who finished in the runner-up spot for the second time this season at the 3/8th mile track after finishing in the same position back in April. Ross Kenseth broke a string of bad luck to finish third rounding out the podium finishers. Championship points leader Kyle Grissom was held out of victory lane for the first time in four races, but still managed an impressive fifth place finish.

No Slowing Down for Grissom as he Wins His Fifth PASS South Series Event This Season Making History Along the Way
Charlotte, NC 9/3/12- It’s hard to believe that a driver in his rookie season in a series as tough as the PASS South super late model series would be rewriting history books, but that’s exactly what Kyle Grissom has done so far in 2012. Grissom, from nearby Concord, North Carolina, made it three wins in a row Saturday night at the Caraway Speedway in Sophia, North Carolina. Grissom’s win was his fifth of the year, breaking the record for most wins in a single season by a PASS South Series driver previously held by Ben Rowe who won four events in 2009 in route to the series championship that same season.

Kyle Grissom Wins Rain Shortened
PASS South Southern Sizzler 150
at Orange County Speedway
Kyle Grissom became the second driver this season to lead flag to flag en route to a win as he scored his third PASS South Series victory. Grissom, who held a half a straightaway lead over second place throughout a majority of the event, was declared the winner on lap 145 when rain forced series officials to call the event complete five laps shy of the scheduled distance. Preston Peltier once again did what he does best, in being consistent, coming home second for his seventh top five finish in nine races this season. Gray Gaulding made it a career night in PASS South Series competition rounding out the podium with an impressive third. Jay Fogleman was fourth and rookie Nate Caruth finished fifth.

Jay Fogleman Breaks Through at
Motor Mile for His First Win of 2012
Charlotte, NC 7/16/12- After dodging rain showers during the day’s practice session luck finally ran out on PASS South Series officials as showers came and washed out the afternoon’s qualifying session. This set up a rare occurrence for PASS South competitors to take the green based on current series points standings, and scraped the normal redraw of the top ten qualifiers to take the green flag. This put leader Brandon Ward on the pole with second place man Kyle Grissom to his outside for the initial start. Ward picked up right where he left off at Anderson two weeks earlier taking command of the lead on lap one. While it was Ward who took the lead young John Hunter Nemechek, son of NASCAR driver Joe Nemechek, was the car on the move through the first portion of the 150 lap event. The fourteen year old driver making his PASS South super late model debut picked up five positions moving from thirteenth to eighth in just the first twelve circuits around to high banked Virginia track.

PASS South Season Opener at Dillon
Charlotte, NC 3/11/12- Last season Preston Peltier didn’t win a single race after being crowned the PASS South Series champion at the end of 2010. Saturday night as the PASS South Series kicked off their 2012 season schedule at the Dillon Motor Speedway in Dillon, South Carolina that didn’t seem to matter much, as he and his #26 Johnson Motorsports team got back to victory lane winning the 2012 South Carolina Clash 150 and setting the tone for a season long points battle.
